Ab Aeterno Review

Finally here in Aklan. FYI. Transportation mode: RORO. Not the usual type of transportation but not that bad, especially with me who just recently resigned from work. Haha. Not that expensive, plus its faster.

So here's my review for Ab Aeterno, Still just a draft

What do you think of Richard's statement claiming that the Island is hell. Watching the whole episode, Im beginning to think that it was only Richard's point of view of what happened to him. I for sometime thought that the whole concept of the show. But it kind of makes you wonder right??

Is Hurley speaking latin?? Not sure if its Spanish.

Tenerife, Canary Islands 1867- excellent story arc.. very deep and very dramatic

Excellent Story arc. finding out that Richard accidentally killed the doctor of her dying wife, the story was deep and very dramatic.

So we now that the reason he is in chains is because he killed a man and he was sold to Captain Magnus Hanso. Richard was a slave boarding the Black Rock

We learned that the tidal wave that caused the island to be flooded eroded the Black Rock in the mid part of the Island as a result. So dig this, the statue's destruction was caused by the black rock, when it accidentally hit the statue. Leaving the four toed statue.Wow! Amazing.

The Black Smoke spared Richard’s life to kill Jacob.

Isabella is supposedly dead, So who appeared as Isabella in The Black Rock? It is not the Black smoke bec aside from the fact that she warned him about the evil that lurks the jungle, the Black smoke clearly is outside the ship during that time. My question is can the Black smoke multiply?? haha

MIB touched Richard and said “It’s good to see out of those chains” Freaky!

Love this dialogue "One way to escape hell is to kill the devil.. You only have one chance. You put this through his chest. Do not hesitate. Do not let him say a word. If he speaks, it will already be too late. He can be very persuasive..”

After realizing that MIB wants him to kill the black smoke. He hesitated until MIB revealed his Black smokey after all. He freakishly said. “No. I am” “You aren’t the only the one who has lost something my friend, The devil betrayed me. He took my body, my humanity.”

Jacob representation of the Island with the CORK. So this is exactly what the spoiler is all about.

Here's how Jacob explained it. “Think of this wine as what you keep calling hell. There’s many other names for it too. Malevolence. Evil. Darkness. And here it is, swirling around in the bottle, unable to get out because if it did, it would spread. The cork is this Island. And it’s the only thing that’s keeping the darkness where it belongs. That man that sent you here believes that everyman is corruptible because it’s in their very nature to sin. I bring people here to prove him wrong. And when they get here their past doesn’t matter. “

One question that I want to know is that; Jacob was the reason why the Black Rock crew and the Losties are on the island. One concept of the show is that they are there for a reason. Because Jacob has a plan for them, then how come he didn't know Richard when he tried to kill him on the beach.

Here's what he said: “Because I wanted them to help themselves, to know the difference between right and wrong without me having to tell them. It’s all meaningless if I have to force them to do anything.

It makes me wonder did he have a plan for Richard and the other people on board the ship then.

Who is Jacob? Whay is he? What superhuman capabilities he have?

So dig this, Jacob offered Richard a job; As a representative and the 3 things that Richard requested: -- He wants his wife back. Absolution from his sins. An since Jacob said that he can’t do that, he requested not do die and live forever.

Jacob touched Richard and What’s the significance of the white rock that Jacob asked Richard to give to MIB??

Hurley doing the Ghost Whisperer thingy, Beautiful scene, Redemption. O love the dialogue: “You have to stop the Man in Black, because if you don’t. We’re all going to go to Hell.” Camera zooms out from afar revealing Flocke. Another Freaky moment.

Here’s an interesting connotation. After Jacob revealing the purpose of the island to Richard using the champagne bottle analogy. MIB crashing the Champagne bottle while saying: Now you know why I want to kill you and it is Sooner than you think.

Nestor Carbonell really deserves an award.

The best Episode so far.,. Hoping for more;

Alright.. I guess that's all for now.

These are just my stupid thoughts.

BTW, I have already watched the Ab Aeterno, But I've been busy yesterday so I wasn't able to post my reviews with episode 9 of LOST. Superb. One word that I can describe. I am planning to the review on the way, in fact I am downloading the copy of Ab Aeterno on my Iphone. Haha. Well Friends.. Blog with you later.. That's all for now.. The 4- letter word

I can not help myself so I read different spoilers for the Ab Aeterno episode. Some of you might have read a couple of them previously. Reading through them, gave much urge to watch the episode nine, ( yes you're right I haven't watched it yet, after this post most probably ), I cam across this thread that has been going through the minds of fans and readers.

Kristin Dos Santos, later revealed that the island is four letter word with no "A" or "E" but has an "O." There were also some spolier image posted of a corked champagne bottle and said it was the answer to a huge mystery, leading many to believe the word is "cork".

Here's that image:

Following the thread, some of reader's and ofcourse LOST fans have a different opinion of what the 4 letter word is. Here's what they thought:
  1. DOOR
  2. TOMB
  3. WOMB
  4. LOOP
  5. CORK
  6. HOLE
  7. ZION
  8. LOST
If I were to guess, The closest words for me would be door, because the Island most probably is a secret passageway of two worlds. It can also be hole for two separate alternate realities. Zion would explain the concept of the good versus evil premise of the show.

What do you think.. Well Only way to find out.. Ill be watching Ab Aeterno right now.
Alright.. Again, These are just my stupid thoughts..

Ab Aeterno

Since the beginning of time. The Richard-centric episode. Episode nine of the final season of LOST.
Nestor Carbonell is back to reprise his role as Richard Alpert. I can not help but wonder how many mysteries will be resolved into this episode. RUmor has it this episode will reveal a lot not only with Richard but also the Island itself. The fact that we know nothing about Richard or his back story, this is a must see episode.

Here are some of my questions:
  • Why is Richard not aging?
  • Why did Flocke (Fake Locke) Said to Richard on the Season 6 premiere: "It's good to see you out of your chains"
  • I can't remember the episode but I believe it has something to do with Ben's back story. When Young Ben decided to run away from the Dharma Iniative camp, he saw Richard in long hair and dirty clothes. Why does he look that way?
  • What is Richards role for Jacob??
  • Why did Ilana call him Ricardus? Does that mean anything, or probably how old Richard is.
SPOILER ALERT:
Kristin Dos Santos (Entertainment Weekly correspondant): Jacob will reveal what the island is. It is a four letter word with no "A" or "E" but has an "O." DarkUFO posted an image of a corked champagne bottle and said it was the answer to a huge mystery, leading many to believe the word is "cork."

Ryan Ozawa (Hawaii resident, spoiler source): Things do not end well for the prisoners on the Black Rock. Richard filmed a scene at the Russian hospital where Ilana was staying.

DarkUFO (Spoiler source): Jacob and his nemesis are both connected to Richard, and he has met both of them. In a flashback in the 1800s, Richard and Jacob have a fight involving a special knife.

DarkUFO (Spoiler source): Hurley and Richard filmed a scene on the beach. Ben, Kate, Jack, Hurley, Sun, Miles, and Ilana filmed a scene at a rebuilt beach camp.

DarkUFO (Spoiler source): Black Rock props and sets were being constructed. Extras in baggy prisoner clothes were seen.

DarkUFO (Spoiler source): Richard and Jacob's nemesis filmed a scene on the Black Rock in the 1800s. According to an unconfirmed rumor, Sayid, Locke, Kate, and Claire are prisoners on the ship.

DarkUFO (Spoiler source): A number of Latino Catholics and other Spanish characters are being cast.

DarkUFO (Spoiler source): Titus Welliver (the man in black) is filming scenes.

Various spoiler sources: The title Ab Aeterno is a direct translation from the Spanish, derived from Latin, for "Since the beginning of time" and (figuratively) "Since a very long time ago."

HERE's A clip for the upcoming episode:

Can't wait for this episode!! What are your other theories??

Goodluck to Chuck

Chuck Versus the Tictac. Let's talk about it. Interesting change of events. Will Sarah be going to DC and Colonel Casey can stay long as a civilian?? Will he reunite with her old family with her daughter? This a very good story for Chuck, Knowing that the status of the show is still in Limbo and we can't tell if the season will become it's series finale as well.

I hope not. I love the show. My opinion is that Chuck was just not given the best there is in terms of better program schedule and probably a little creative support. But its a fun loving show.

Tonight is also the second part of the HBO miniseries The Pacific. I'll be watching it right now..
And I'll blog with you later..

Spartacus

Lets talk about Spartacus Blood and Sand. This is another great TV series. It has a very good story plot, and the way the story progresses is also quite remarkable. Can you believe that the Steven DeKnight and Sam Raimi are the creators of this epic war story?

It's actually quite interesting because DeKnight is known to be an executive producer of Smallville, and well of course Sam Raimi known for the Spiderman series reboot.

The story is captured by well written plot that the audience can really relate to. Interesting story arcs. Excellent costume and set design. Graphics-wise: melancholicly BLOODY.

The hour long series is involves around nudity, morbidity and language that might not be inappropriate for others, but somehow making the show more realistic and
presentably depicts the culture of the past.

This gladiatoresque and 300-ish series is about the uprising of slave from a gladiator and the obstacles he need to jump into before he can become the superior king of the arena.
Spartacus who is played by Andy Whitman, did well in his part acting-wise. Andy was recently diagnosed with lymphoma and is now going under chemotherapy.

Though Season 1 has not concluded yet, I'm hoping for his speedy recovery for him and the shows stake. Rumors around it that it might delay production for the second season.

I will be watching the episode 9 so.. later then..

The Pacific

I'm back. Just finished watching The Pacific, A miniseries on HBO produced by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg. Not bad all I can say, I will surely stay tune for more. Watching it, I thought that it was another war story, but the series it self has exceeded mainly on the warm story telling and writing. I can say it connects to me as an audience, I mean not that all TV how does that. Specially given the fact that the story is about war.

Looks fresh and unique to me.. notice on the opening credits they used a charcoal skectch like someone is drawing something. I love that idea. It is a 10 part miniseries and the second episode will be broadcasted on HBO this March 21. Hope you could watch it and tell me what you think.

Thats all for now.. What do you think??

Here I Blog

Back in the blogging world.

Just finished watching The Office Seasons 1 to 6 and I tell you, I can't stop laughing. Ground breaking comedy. My fave season so far is season 3. I'm at episode 20 now of the current season, I noticed though that the series is evolving.. I'm not sure if its in a good way though.. Just hoping that the writers can come up something fresh for season 6 finale..

Up on a different series. Have you started watching LOST Season 6? I am LOST fan. Very excited for this season's series finale. I've also watched Epi:08 'TheRecon' which is the Sawyer-centric episode. I didn't like it, probably the worst for me this season so far. I was actually kind of hoping that half way through the season some of the questions will already be answered. Watching The Recon feels like they have wasted 45 mins. time for some of the burning questions left unanswered. I already know Sawyer's back story. Why do they keep repeating it. I mean don't get me wrong I'm a huge LOST fan. I know in a long term each puzzle will solve each mysteries. The side flashes will become clear. I know! Its just that I don't think every questions and mysteries will be answered by the end of the series, o why not spent it to the important questions we have right? I think its because they have set the bar so high at season 5 finale. Maybe I'm just waiting for Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof to blow my mind again for this years finale. Can't wait!

KUDOS to them!! I'm following them both on twitter: http://twitter.com/Carltoncuse and http://twitter.com/DamonLindelof. I've recently read an interview about their plans after LOST. The big question was are they planning of something for TV after LOST. The two said that they will need to exercise their creative minds again, but has no plans so far. Well.. I'm hoping they will, and I will definitely support it. These two have created a uniquely revolutionized American serial drama ever on TV. I salute them and the writers for the best creative minds and skillful story telling.

SPOILER ALERT:
On a side note; This tuesdays up coming episode for lost will be "Ab Aerterno" which is believed to be the Richard-centric episode. On a recent interview with Lost Star Nestor Carbonell (Richard Alpert), he said that the this coming episode 9 will explain about the islands mystery and the reason why Richard is not aging. Can't wait! Same thing will happen on Episode 15 he added;
