Glass Half Empty

Half of a glass is filled with water.
Ofcourse you will say that it is half filled. But if I say that is half-empty, I am still correct, right?
People argue because they have different views. Often, one side is more powerful than the other. But if we argue on whether the glass is half-filled or half-empty, we are both correct.
"Filled" and "Empty" are two different words. They are actually oppossites. Isn't it funny how the word "half" can make them mean the same?
